Importing files from Google drive is fairly simple and can be completed in 4 steps.

Once on the ‘Create New Datasheet’ or ‘Add Data’ page, select the ‘file type’ and you would be redirected to the ‘upload data’ step.

Step 1 Choose the Google Drive option

The following screen appears. From the set of icons available, ‘Google Drive’ needs to be selected.

Step 2 Establish connection with Drive

A connection has to be established with the drive folder if no prior connection is made. (in case there is a preexisting connection established, the same would be visible) Click on ‘Create New Connection’ to proceed.

The following screen appears. Fill in the fields: Connection Name (mandatory), Description (optional), and Connection type (mandatory). Then click on ‘Connect!’

<aside> 💡 The connection type can be import or export. (’import’ connection would be used for downloading and ‘export’ for uploading annotated data to the drive)

Step 3 Granting Access

Once the connection is made, the user would be redirected to their google accounts page from which the account to be connected is to be selected. The following message would appear from which the user would have to select continue in order to grant access.

Step 4 Files Selection

Once the user has granted access and the connection is established, the following screen would appear. Click on ‘Choose Files’ to go to the connected drive and select the media to be uploaded to the Project.

Fill in the Dataset Details and click on Create dataset to proceed
